Leonardo's Horse
Leonardo da Vinci drew up plans for a 24-foot (four times lifesize) bronze casting of a horse, but it was never completed - the bronze was not available, being used instead for cannonballs. A modern recreation in steel and fiberglass stands outside a travelling exhibition of Leonardo's works.
